How was your holiday? I'll say about 75% of mine sucked. Whatever happened to simple life? It no longer exists. I try to live from day to, enjoying simple pleasures. Everyone around me tries to make me fail at enjoying my simple pleasures by complicating everything. Imagine if somone from the year 1850 were placed here in good ole 2005. What do you think would happen? Our last sight of him would be of him running for dear life for the hills or forrest or wherever peace would welcome him.
Every person you meet, no matter how insignificant, influences your life in some way. The people you're closer to, influence your life on a very large scale. In a free society, one should be able to make choices freely. You'd think that's what living in a so-called free society is. Not true. I was listening to John Mellencamp and heard a song that I've heard thousands of times but never really paid attention to the lyrics. Peaceful World.
People know this world is a wreck
we're sick and tired of being politically correct
If I see through it now but I didn't at first
the hypocrites made it worse and worse
lookin' down their noses at what people say
these are just words and words are okay
It's what you do and not what you say
if you're not part of the future then get out of the way
I couldn't have said it better myself.

i'm usually very good about listening to lyrics. i've never really listened to growing up. wow.
taboo commenting goin' on here: there's nothing wrong with enjoying life's simple pleasures. as long as you handle the complicated stuff along with the simple, realizing that it does exist and has to be dealt with as well.
