Here is our early morning view over Scotland. It was amazing. We landed in Scotland and checked into the Ibis Hotel. Ibis Hotel is an eco-friendly hotel, meaning they sort waste and take many steps to save energy and water.. The first thing I noticed was that you turn the light switch down to turn it off and up to turn it off. The toilets handel is on the right side in stead of the left. Strange, I know.

We stayed on the Royal Mile, which is in the heart of Scotland. After settling into our rooms, we started exploring the Royal Mile.
Megan and Nichole in front of Starbucks in Edinburgh. Here are more views of the Royal Mile.

Here are a few of us standing in front of the Scottish Parliament.
Looking out of our hotel window onto the street below.
I just couldn't resist. hehehe

Scotch flavored condoms????? Whaaaaat????? These were sold all over in restaurant and pub bathrooms. How odd.

Our first tour was of Holyrood Palace. No photography was allowed inside the house. Gripes!!! Photography was allowed around the grounds and in the Holyrood Abbey.

In the background you'll see the Salisbury Crag in Holyrood Park. After dinner we continued to stroll around Edinburgh and happened into the Whiski Bar where a group was playing traditional Scottish music.

We ended up at a pub and met Gary, originally from South Africa, and Jackie from Scotland. They taught us how to play pool the Scottish way.
Here's Gary waiting for the game to start. Notice the balls have no numbers and are either yellow or orange. It's the same basic principle as American 8 ball pool with some differences:
1. The balls are smaller
2. The table is smaller
3. The pockets are smaller
4. If you don't make contact with your ball on your shot or hit the opponents ball before your own, your opponent gets two shots. This was the hardest part to get used to.

In the back of the bar was the main band stage.
Alexandra is an Edinburgh Rockstar!!! It was a fun, drink-filled night.

Are all the street lanes painted with the crooked lines?
